LA Curbed has reported that two separate individuals have filed a lawsuit against the proposed 74-foot Target store development on Sunset and Western.
“Given threats of a legal action, no one was surprised when late last month, residents Robert Blue and Doug Haines (the latter is represented by well-known attorney Robert Silverstein) filed separate lawsuits alleging the city violated municipal code by granting nine variances for the project. Additionally, the suits allege approval of the project violates provisions of the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA).”- LA CURBED
It looks like the people of Los Angeles are fighting back against developers who are trying to build larger and taller projects like this one. Too bad the city is not backing that idea as they continue to grant variances that go against the city plan to increase density.
